I feel very fortunate to have grown up (and still live) in a place so rich with diversity, and opportunity. I am the youngest of three. Growing up, my parents instilled in us, a great work ethic, respect for others, and a strong faith. People often ask me why I am so happy all the time, and I like to think it’s because of who raised me.

About Tommy Bouch

Q: Please tell us a little bit about your family.

My son, Owen is 10 years old, and is in the 5th grade. My wife, Lindsey and I were married last July. She is Kindergarten teacher in Fairfax County. We live in Haymarket, VA. Lindsey and I are expecting a baby girl due in June. We also have a puppy named Millie, who is a Blue Healer / Jack Russell mix. Lots of exciting new changes in our lives 🙂

Q: Please tell us about your current, past, or future career. What do you love most about what you do?

I have a passion for people. My background is in sales. Being in sales isn’t about just the sale, itself. To me, it’s about understanding someone needs, and being a resource to them, making their lives a little bit easier in the process. I am the VA sales rep for V&F, a family owned and operated office coffee & office supply company serving VA, DC, and MD since 1971. Think of us as the “Grocery store” for offices. My role is creating Coffee, Bevi Sparkling water, Nespresso, and snack programs for offices all over the region. I enjoy setting people up with fun perks at their office. I am also a working musician. I play guitar, and sing for a local country music cover band called “Delta Spur.” It’s a group of five us, and we are like a family. This is the first band I’ve ever been a part of, and this year marks 10 years that we have been together. We perform all over Northern Virginia, both public, and private events. I feel very fortunate to be able to do something I truly love, as a profession.

Q: What advice would you give to people?

Just to be kind to others. There are so many great sayings that stick with me, like “Everyone is fighting a battle you know nothing about.” When you can, go out of your way to help someone. The smallest gesture can make someone’s day.

Q: Where do you see yourself in 5 to 10 years?

In five years, I hope to make the transition to sales management. To take everything I have learned through experience, and lead others.
